•* Caters for students 5 -10yrs with language-based learning problems in the New York City area
* 80 students, 40 staff including teachers, speech therapists, OTs and social workers.
* All staff collaborate to create and deliver individual learning programs for the students
•* There are 9 classes with a maximum of 8 students in each class.
IWBs at Parkside
—*8 Starboards, 2 mobile IWB units and 5 smartboard slates for over 7 years.
—*Uses of IWB include: educational videos, YouTube, enlarging pictures, google maps, slideshows of excursions, internet games, sorting activities, maths drills.
—*Each staff member was extremely proficient with IWB software and notebook applications and created their own content.
